An old clip of All Blacks player Ardie Savea leaving the pitch in just a Springboks shirt and his underwear has resurfaced online to the amusement of rugby fans.

The 31-year-old vice-captain made his 100th test match appearance on Saturday, 6 September, against South Africa, at Eden Park, which is known as the “Fortress”.

The homeside maintained the winning streak with a 24-17 victory against the rugby rivals.

FUNNY CLIP OF ARDIE SAVEA RESURFACES

On TikTok, a rugby fan reshared an old clip of Ardie Savea leaving the pitch in his underwear.

Eating an apple and wearing a Springboks supporter T-shirt, the All Blacks star literally took his pants off to give to a young fan.

Ardie – who had already given away his jersey and boots – sheepishly walked into the tunnel while trying to protect his modesty.

But the hilarious moment did not take place in Eden Park on Saturday, as many fans believed.

The encounter was captured after the All Blacks beat the Springboks 35-23 at Ellis Park in 2022. It would come a year before the teams would play a nail-biting Rugby World Cup finale in France.

ELLIS PARK TO EDEN PARK

Fast forward to the present, Ardie Savea was celebrated becoming an All Blacks centurion in front of his family, friends, and fans at Eden Park.

The 31-year-old wore a Ula Fala and a To’oto’o & fue, a Samoan ceremonial necklace and staff, which is gifted to those considered high in the ranks of chiefdom. The rugby star  – who has led the team’s Haka – has often spoken proudly of his Samoan ancestry.

IS ARDIE SAVEA THE BEST ALL BLACKS PLAYER OF ALL TIME?
