In a video shared by Nigerian music government Ayo Shonaiye, singer Seyi Sodimu talked about how his hit track ‘Love Me Jeje’ was initially rejected by American music labels in 1997.

Seyi Sodimu stated he spent two years making an attempt to advertise the track in New York. “I didn’t launch it for about two years as a result of I attempted to promote it in New York.

After dealing with rejection within the US, Sodimu returned to Nigeria and promoted the track on Ray Energy radio, rapidly turning it into a significant hit.

Years later, the track gained worldwide fame when Nigerian famous person Tems used it in one among her tracks on her debut album ‘Born In The Wild.’

This helped the track obtain worldwide success and led to Tems successful the award for Greatest African Music Efficiency on the 67th Grammys.

Tems praised Sodimu on social media for making the method of utilizing the track straightforward and known as ‘Love Me Jeje’ a “timeless basic.”
