The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested Sola Jimoh, a 24-year-old bike thief on Christmas Day. The arrest adopted a swift response to a theft report from the proprietor of the stolen bike, who found the incident close to Powerline in Osogbo.
ASC Kehinde Adeleke, the spokesperson of Osun NSCDC, stated the suspect within the confessional assertion admitted to stealing the bike as an act of revenge after his personal bike was stolen in September 2024.
In line with the assertion, “Jimoh left his residence in a city close to Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Christmas morning, December 25, 2024, at 6 am, and travelled all the way down to Osogbo, to steal a motorbike.
“Jimoh confessed that when he obtained to Osogbo, he discovered a motorbike parked below a tree at Powerline, with nobody round. He shortly took the bike, however the proprietor quickly found the theft and reported it to the closest NSCDC workplace. The suspect was apprehended whereas making an attempt to flee with the stolen bike.”
Igbalawole Sotiyo, the commandant of NSCDC Osun State Command, assured the general public that the suspect can be charged in a courtroom of competent jurisdiction.
The NSCDC boss inspired the general public to stay vigilant and report suspicious actions to the closest safety company to make sure a safer atmosphere for all.
