Watch: The Nigerian hero making a protected haven for animals

Chinedu Mogbo is a devoted conservationist who works tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife

Within the southeastern outskirts of Lagos, sounds of birds chirping, crocodile splashes, and pangolins rustling might be heard within the air. Wildlife is flourishing right here due to a sanctuary based by Chinedu Mogbo, a kind-hearted animal fanatic.

Chinedu established The Inexperienced Fingers Wildlife Sanctuary in 2012 after witnessing endangered animals bought and abused throughout Nigeria. For the reason that sanctuary opened its gates, Chinedu has rescued, sheltered, and rehabilitated hundreds of animals. The World Wildlife Fund lists most of the facility’s animals as critically endangered.

To make sure the well-being of the animals of their care, Chinedu and his crew erected purpose-built enclosures that mimic the wild. The last word objective is to return the furry and scaly friends to the wild rapidly. For these unable to return to the wild, the sanctuary serves as their lifelong dwelling.

Chinedu’s imaginative and prescient stretches past the confines of his sanctuary’s partitions. He goals to ascertain extra amenities throughout Nigeria and improve consciousness of the nation’s wealthy biodiversity.
