It’s a reciprocal tariff and half at that because the US are generous, meaning if SA wants lower tariffs we must then in same lower our tariffs towards US goods. Not difficult to comprehend. Instead of thinking about the citizens of our country you continually punish and live the life of Hollywood Elites and blaming everyone else for the problems You create!
The lack of research by these ANC spokesman is shocking. The tariffs imposed are not strictly financial but include a “penalty” for BEE, a non-financial tariff. If the stubborn ANC continues their financial and non-financial tariffs, those same tariffs will be DOUBLED!……causing the 600 American companies impacting at least 40/50 billion of South Africa’s GDP to leave the shores of South Africa resulting in devastating unemployment. The ANC needs to DROP ALL TARIFFS because this is an economic war that the ANC cannot win against the USA……particularly with severe US sanctions of the ANC on the way.
