Chairman Christian Chukwu and his golden generation inspired many popular footballers who later played for the national team, The Super Eagles, and others who became foreign professionals in Europe. The history of Nigerian football is not complete without the mentioning of the class of 1980 AFCON-winning stars like Christian Chukwu, Emmanuel Okala, Segun Odegbami, Muda Lawal, etc. The government should look after our sports stars who brought glory and honour to our fatherland when they are still alive, not when they are dead. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
