2.Proper management of HIV needs not just drugs but laboratory equipments / tests with adequate staff training for eg to monitor CD4 count , viral load , confirmatory tests etc .
3. HIV can be managed effectively by a physician but may need to co manage with HIV specialist in conditions like poor response , drug resistance , co infection with hepatitis B and C and even pregnancy etc
5. While manufacturing ARV is commendable….the lab tests along with staff training and update is what is mostly lacking for proper follow up and comprehensive treatment of HIV , opportunistic infections and AIDs defining illnesses
6.Emphasis should also be on prevention and education about the risk factors eg intravenous drug abuse
