With the failure and betrayal of the Northern leadership and elites regarding Insecurity should persuade the Nigerian Armed forces to change their policy to persuade the stake holders to be in the frontier in fighting and winning the terrorism that they helped directly or indirectly to create.
Therefore, here is my proposal. The Army forces should start dispatching soldiers with this formular to address the geopolitical problem: 40% of the soldiers must be from the state concern, 40% from the neighboring states to the state concern and the remaining 20% from other states. This will help provide communal solution to resolve the problems. It will be the equivalence of the state policing in the army. This will bring credibility and trust to the army and encourage people from others state especially the Igbos to join the army. This is similar to what Ojukwu proposed in the Aburi accord but with a more national outlook. It will persuade a grassroot dialogue and solution and prevent unnecessary killings on both sides.
The political careers of all the politicians and the traditional rulers in the affected local governments and the state governors should be tired directly to the insecurity by a law. This will persuade all hands of the stake holders to be on board until a permanent solution is achieved. All concerns politicians and traditional rulers should be placed with immediate effect on 1/2 salary and then to full suspension after 3 months if they failed to provide solutions.
