And Prochazka entered to rapturous applause from the Miami faithful, who have bought into his ‘samurai’ character. But it ended in tears as Ulberg managed to overcome a blown out knee to score the most stunning first round knockout.

While Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg are both known to be exciting knockout artists, the pair had a lot to live up to on an explosive night at the Kaseya Center. Josh Hokit and Curtis Blaydes put on a fight so good that it landed the winner a spot on the UFC White House card at the President’s request.
With a massive experience gap, Prochazka came out the more confident of the two. Ulberg went for the leg kick early, but it seemed that the right knee of the New Zealander was injured in the opening exchanges.
He continued to strike with the former champion, but was clearly under serious stress after seeming to tear the knee while stepping back off an attack. But out of nowhere, he landed a massive check left hook and knocked out Prochazka.

After the fact, the Czech star admitted that he felt like he had to show mercy after watching Ulberg suffer the horror injury. He felt as though he was coasting to a second world title on the stool, but was hit with something he didn’t see coming.
Ulberg confirmed to Joe Rogan after the fact that he had blown out his knee while stepping back. But he remained in the fight and managed to score a perfect shot from the heavens to win the light-heavyweight world title.
