The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago, has stated that he ought to not be addressed as ‘Excellency’, ‘Honourable’ or ‘Mr Governor’.
Bago stated he would favor to be known as “Farmer Governor”.
He stated this through the presentation of the 2024 finances to the state Home of Meeting.
Based on him, the title is to strengthen the precedence of the federal government on agriculture.
He stated: “I wish to inform the individuals of Niger State that from right now, my nomenclature has modified and I want to be addressed as Farmer Governor Bago from now henceforth.”
