The Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Callistus Onaga, on Saturday, banned monks from conducting crusades of their parishes.

Mr Onaga introduced the ban in his homily on the ordination of 26 monks and the celebration of fifty years anniversary of the Sacred Coronary heart Seminary, Nsude (Junior Seminary) in Enugu.

The bishop charged the monks to organise retreats for his or her parishioners and pay larger consideration to prayers and never maintain crusades.

Mr Onaga, who was celebrating his fifty fifth alma mater, warned monks towards forming prayer teams, however to take their members to permitted prayer locations like Ugwu Dì Nso, monastery and others.
