Grenergy, a Spanish unbiased energy producer targeted on the event of PV, wind, and vitality storage initiatives, has introduced the arrival of 105 BYD batteries on the port of Iquique, Chile.
Grenergy mentioned that the Chipol Guangan cargo ship, arriving after a 42-day journey from Dachan, China, has delivered 1,050 MC Dice ESS battery modules with a complete storage capability of 600 MWh. The modules will assist the Oasis de Atacama solar-plus-storage challenge in Chile.
The cargo is a part of a strategic settlement signed in January 2024 between Grenergy and Chinese language battery maker BYD for the provision of 1.1 GWh of large-scale vitality storage merchandise. This consists of 2,136 Blade modules of BYD’s MC Dice ESS mannequin.
