LASTMA’s Common Supervisor, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, confirmed the arrest and cautioned the general public to watch out for such deceitful people, emphasizing the company’s cashless coverage the place violators are charged to courtroom through a ‘Referral Discover.’

Bakare-Oki burdened the deployment of extra surveillance personnel to apprehend such parts exploiting harmless motorists throughout the state.

Mr. Taofiq Adebayo, Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment at LASTMA, revealed that Adegbemi was caught following complaints of extortion from homeowners of inter-state business buses impounded for site visitors infractions within the Moshalasi by Alaka space of Surulere.

Investigations unveiled Adegbemi’s follow of extorting important sums from car homeowners, promising to facilitate the discharge of impounded automobiles.

Adegbemi, residing at Quantity 9, Anifowose Avenue, Somolu, confessed, “I and my colleagues make a median of N250,000 weekly from motorists arrested for site visitors offences.”
