Fifty years in the past, Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson designated Lagos, Nigeria, as a “sister metropolis.” The partnership in cultural alternate is honored this yr with a 10-week artist residency and exhibition.

“Atlanta BeltLine Presents: LagosAtlanta: Sister Metropolis Rising” brings two multimedia artists from Nigeria — Taiye Idahor and Kainebi Osahenye — to create new work in Atlanta, meet and educate our artwork group, and unveil their installations alongside the Atlanta BeltLine’s Westside Path in April.
