I understand him completely. However, pressure is important. The pain he is feeling now is a result of the state entities not having done the job for which they were decades ago created to do, and this is because the FG was taking care of them with free financing from Above. Now that he is feeling the discomfort of an underdeveloped state It is now his job to resolve that discomfort. Work with the FG to connect Bauchi to the rest of Nigeria by road and rail and develop local industries.
I don’t understand how a whole region will be scared to generate income on their own. If you can’t pay salaries then cut down the padded gov workers. I remembered while I was in university, could you believe these elite sons from the north are earning salaries while studying. Most of them has their children friend and cronies as government workers even when they don’t go to work they get salaries, even their toddler is on government payroll. Can you cut down all these loop holes if you are really ready to serve the people. Tax reform is here to stay !
