MMUSI MAIMANE CRITICISES THE CURRENT PASS MARK

BOSA chief Mmusi Maimane has argued {that a} 30% cross after 12 years of training just isn’t a cross mark.

The politician shared his views on X (previously referred to as Twitter) because the 2024 matric outcomes are to be launched on Tuesday, January 14.

Maimane has been advocating elevating the cross price to 50%.

He said on X that the present reporting of matric outcomes is deceptive, asserting:

“The reporting on matric outcomes is predicated on a lie. 30% just isn’t a cross mark. 40% just isn’t a cross mark.”

BOSA STARTS A PETITION TO CALL FOR THE INCREASE IN MATRIC PASS MARK

In help of this trigger, BOSA has launched a petition calling for a rise within the cross mark, which has already gathered over 13,000 signatures.

“We name on Minister of Fundamental Schooling, Siviwe Gwarube, to decide to scrapping this low customary and growing the matric cross mark to 50%.

“We should equip our younger folks to compete and win within the international economic system. They usually can with high quality training. This begins by upping the matric cross mark,” states the petition.
