Personnel of the Nigerian Military and the Nigeria Police Pressure have rescued two kidnapped members of the Nationwide Youth Service Corps in Katsina State.
The corps members have been mentioned to have been kidnapped by bandits within the Yargoje group, Kankara Native Authorities Space of the state on their manner from Edo State.
A press release by the Director, Military Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, on Friday indicated that the corps members have been at the moment receiving medical consideration.
The assertion learn, “In a joint operation on Thursday, November 2, 2023, the troops of 17 Brigade Nigerian Military in collaboration with the Nigerian Police, have rescued two corps members who have been kidnapped by bandits in Yargoje group, Kankara Native Authorities Space of Katsina State.
“The brave effort of the safety forces led to the extrication and secure return of the abductees. The criminals kidnapped the corps members whereas they have been transiting from Edo State to Katsina State.
“The short response and rescue demonstrated by the joint effort of the 17 Brigade Nigerian Military and the Nigerian Police resulted within the profitable rescue of the victims from their captors.
“The rescued corps members have been provided needed medical consideration and help to make sure their bodily and emotional well-being and are at the moment within the custody of the Nigerian Police in Kankara.”
