Mom abandons month-old child boy in Anambra

A yet-to-be recognized girl has allegedly deserted her one-month-old child boy in a bus in Anambra State.

The Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps( NSCDC), disclosed this on Tuesday, saying the newborn was deserted since sixth September and is of their custody.

Sharing the image of the newborn, with journalists, the corps referred to as on the general public to help in finding the mom of the kid.

The Anambra State Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, Edwin Okadigbo, in an announcement mentioned: “We request the help of the general public in finding the family, dad and mom or mom of a child boy estimated to be a few month previous who was recovered by a workers of the corps after being deserted seemingly by its mom in a bus.

“The newborn was handed over to a workers of the corps on the sixth of September 2022 at about 0900hrs after the mom who she boarded the identical bus with alighted at a bus cease in a bid to ease herself alongside Ziks Avenue by Amawbia Correctional Service Awka.

“Anybody who is aware of of a girl or dad and mom who lately gave start however is all of a sudden with out the kid, or is aware of family of the toddler is urged to contact Intelligence and Investigation Division.”

Okadigbo mentioned after the mom deserted the newborn, the bus waited for about three hours and looked for the mom, however found the act was deliberate.
