Youths kill village head in Niger

The village head of Lambata in Gurara native authorities space of Niger State Mohammed Abdulsafur has been killed throughout a violent conflict amongst youths on Saturday night, January 14.

The Nation reported that Abdulsafur died from accidents inflicted on him by youths who invaded his residence. 

Niger State Authorities has imposed a curfew in Lambata from Sunday until additional discover, over the incident. 

Secretary to the State Authorities (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, the State Authorities, mentioned the curfew could be from 6:00 pm to six:00 am. 

Matane mentioned the curfew will assist safety businesses to stabilise the state of affairs within the space, save lives and guarantee restoration of regulation and order.

He added; 

“Authorities condemn in sturdy phrases the violence and act of lawlessness that has occurred in Lambata city”

The late village head, who retired because the State Management Officer within the Leprosy and Tuberculosis programme, is survived by a spouse and 13 youngsters.
