WEATHER: Yellow level 2 warning issued for these provinces

The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 Warning for severe thunderstorms for these three provinces. Flooding, small hail, and ddamaging winds are expected over parts of the North West, Free State, and KwaZulu-Natal.

NORTH WEST

The North West will see partly cloudy conditions and hot to very hot weather in the afternoon, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

MAHIKENG

In Mahikeng, it will be fine in the morning, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers. Temperatures will reach a low of 18°C and a high of 34°C.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Tuesday morning will bring fog in some areas in the north and south-east. Otherwise, the day will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, very hot in some places, with isolated showers and thundershowers. The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

DURBAN

Durban can expect partly cloudy conditions with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers. Temperatures will range from a low of 24°C to a high of 31°C.

FREE STATE

The Free State will experience fine, hot to very hot conditions. Afternoon showers and scattered thundershowers are also expected.

BLOEMFONTEIN

In Bloemfontein, the day will start fine, becoming partly cloudy later. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected, with temperatures ranging from a minimum of 18°C to a scorching 37°C.
