The skies across KwaZulu-Natal, the Free State, and the North West suggest another breezy day is on the way. Be sure to dress accordingly on Thursday, 4 December.

KWAZULU-NATAL

In KwaZulu-Natal, expect morning and evening fog patches. The rest of the day will be cloudy and cool, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers. If you’re in the north, you’re in for slightly warmer conditions.

DURBAN

In KZN’s largest city, keep that raincoat handy. It will be cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers. Temperatures will range from 18°C to 23°C.

NORTH WEST

In the North West, the South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 1 warning for severe thunderstorms. Heavy rain may cause damage to infrastructure, property, and vehicles, and could pose a risk of injuries.

A cloudy morning is expected, but conditions may turn warm to hot later in the day, with scattered showers in the extreme west.

MAHIKENG

Mahikeng can expect partly cloudy conditions with isolated showers and thundershowers. Temperatures will range from 18°C to 27°C.

FREE STATE

The Free State will wake up to a cloudy morning with fog patches in the east. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

BLOEMFONTEIN

In the capital, expect partly cloudy skies with isolated afternoon thundershowers. Temperatures will range from a minimum of 13°C to a maximum of 28°C.
