Victor Boniface got his second assist for Werder Bremen on Friday to help them defeat Wolfsburg…

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface had a little problem with some German police officials while he was driving home after Werder Bremen’s 2-1 comeback win over Wolfsburg on Friday night, Soccernet.ng reports.

Boniface got his second assist of the season last Friday, when his Werder Bremen side defeated Wolfsburg 2-1 at the Weserstadion.

Even though he wasn’t the one that scored the goal, he was the one who made the headlines due to the nature of his assist. It was a botched overhead kick, which fell kindly for Samuel Mbangula, who volleyed the ball into the net.

In a related development, some fans who were returning from the stadium after the game, caught Boniface on camera having what seemed to be a heated conversation with a police woman.

According to Deich Stube, Boniface seemed to have lost his way and was headed in a wrong direction when he was stopped. But after his conversation with the officer, he was let go.

Victor Boniface Still Hunting For First Werder Bremen Goal

Although Victor Boniface has two assists for Werder Bremen, he is still searching for his first goal for the club. In fact, he has not scored a goal since March this year.

With the way he’s playing. It is evident that the 24-year-old Super Eagles striker is desperately in need of a goal.

With the international break already here, Boniface has a two-week break to rest and re-invent himself. He will be looking to end his barren run as soon as possible and return to being one of the best strikers in Germany.
