WAFCON 2026 Build-Up: Super Falcons Arrive in Yaoundé for Cameroon Friendlies

Eleven Super Falcons players have reported to the team’s training camp in Yaoundé ahead of two international friendly matches against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses.

Team activities began on Tuesday with the arrival of head coach Justine Madugu, his assistants, and other members of the backroom staff, as preparations officially got underway.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade is among the early arrivals, alongside Monday Gift, Tosin Demehin, and Christy Ucheibe. Also already in camp are Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Glory Ogbonna, Precious Christopher, Joy Omewa, Esther Onyenezide, Fatima Oloko, and Favour Nkwocha.

Officials said more players are expected to join the squad, with 14 still yet to arrive in camp.

The team is scheduled to hold its first training session later on Tuesday night. The first friendly match is set for Saturday, with the second encounter slated for next Tuesday.

Both fixtures form part of Nigeria’s build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
