Viral teen from Peter Obi’s Lagos rally, Alabi Quadri, freed after theft arrest

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest and detention of 18-year-old Alabi Quadri, whose picture went viral through the 2023 election season after a spontaneous encounter with presidential candidate Peter Obi in Lagos.

Quadri, who briefly captured public consideration after stepping in entrance of Obi’s motorcade throughout a marketing campaign rally, was freed on Thursday following months in custody at a correctional facility.
