Vietnamese pheasant discovered after escape from Welsh zoo

July 12 (UPI) — A Vietnamese pheasant that escaped from a zoo in Wales was safely returned to the power the next day after an in depth search.

The Plantasia Tropical Zoo in Swansea mentioned Thursday that the male Vietnamese pheasant, also called an Edwards’ Pheasant, was discovered to be lacking from his enclosure and was believed to have flown the coop.

“The pheasant isn’t in any approach harmful but it surely could be shy and scared which is why we’re asking anybody who spots it to report that sighting to us instantly slightly than approaching the chook,” the zoo mentioned on social media.

A follow-up post Friday mentioned the pheasant, named Jack, had been discovered after quite a few reported sightings Thursday night time and Friday morning.
