Jamie Vardy has been named as Serie A player of the month for November following his goal for Cremonese against Juventus.

The 38-year-old scored in their 2-1 defeat to Luciano Spalletti’s side, his only goal in three games during the month.

Vardy becomes the first English player to win the award since its introduction in 2019, with the winner decided by a combination of fan votes and statistical data.

He beat out Mike Maignan (AC Milan), Lautaro Martinez (Inter), David Neres (Napoli), Leo Ostigard (Genoa) and Nicolo Zaniolo (Udinese) to the prize.

The fairytale hasn’t ended, it’s just entered a new chapter.

Vardy has scored four goals in 10 Serie A games this season, including a brace in Cremonese’s 3-1 win over Bologna earlier this month.

The former Leicester City forward has taken just 10 shots in the Italian top-flight in 2025-26, averaging a goal every 195.8 minutes.

“Vardy is truly a player from another era,” said Serie A chief executive Luigi de Siervo.

“His arrival at Cremonese was greeted with great enthusiasm by all Serie A fans, and Vardy is repaying them with top-level performances, innate leadership and important goals, the result of the competitive spirit and shooting skills that have always distinguished him.”
