Troops rescue 52 kidnap victims in Sokoto

Troops of Hadarin Daji (OPHD) have rescued 52 kidnapped victims in Isa Native Authorities Space of Sokoto State.

The Nigerian Military, in an announcement on Saturday, December 23, 2023, disclosed that the victims, 14 males, 32 females, and 6 youngsters, will endure medical check-ups earlier than handover to acceptable authorities to reunite them with their households. 

“In continuation with onslaught towards terrorists by way of collection of clearance operations of their Areas of Duties, the mixed troops of the Joint Process Drive North-West Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) have once more rescued 52 kidnap victims in a profitable and properly coordinated operation in Isa LGA of Sokoto State,” the assertion learn.

“The feat was recorded on 22 December 2023, when the troops cleared and destroyed terrorist enclaves at Saruwa, Kubuta, Gundumi villages and Bunwanga Gundumi forest in Isa LGA of Sokoto state.

“Through the operation, the troops of the OPHD rescued 52 kidnap victims whereas a number of terrorists had been neutralized. 

“The rescued victims embody; 14 Males, 32 Females and 6 youngsters who will endure medical check-up, debrief and handover acceptable authorities to reunite them with their households.”
