Through different seasons, their bond deepened and love sure came knocking. They recently had an intimate civil wedding that was nothing short of magical. They say love finds you when you least expect it. This one did — right in the heart of West Africa. On the grounds of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a story quietly began in 2014. I was just arriving — New to campus, new to everything. He, Nnamdi, was on his way out — a final-year student, confident and calm. But in that moment, our timelines aligned. He helped me through registration — a small gesture, but sometimes, destiny enters softly in the face of a helper. From that day, we became friends — The kind of friends who always found a reason to talk, to laugh, to stay a little longer. Our favorite place? The View Restaurant — Not just a spot to eat, but a sacred space where two hearts unknowingly began to knit together.

Years passed. Seasons changed. But Nnamdi’s heart remained sure. He would tell anyone who cared to listen: “One day, Tochi will be my wife.” A quiet conviction. A promise in waiting. And then, in 2021 — seven years later — he took the bold step. No grand speech. No overthinking. Just love, finally given a voice.
