A gang that specialises in exhuming corpses and eradicating their elements for rituals has been arrested by the Osun State Safety Community Company, Amotekun Corps.
In a press release on Tuesday, Dec. 12, the Osun State Amotekun spokesperson, Adeniyi Adeshola Brown, stated the three suspects have been; Kamilu Kehinde, a 43-year-old mechanic, Akeem Hamzat, 56-year-old driver and Wakeel Baka, a herbalist.
Brown acknowledged that they have been all arrested following intelligence acquired by the operatives of Iwo Command.
He stated: “On interrogation, the suspects made confessional statements that they have been into the enterprise of exhuming corpses from graves; which they then promote to consumers who want them for money-making rituals; and likewise that.
“Akeem Hamzat was not really considered one of them, however relatively one Ogun, who’s now at giant with an exhumed physique half.”
The spokesperson, nonetheless, disclosed that the Corps Commander, Osun State Safety Community Company, Bashir Abiodun Adewinmbi, has directed that the suspects be transferred to the Nigeria Police for discreet investigation and doable prosecution.
