Super Eagles forward Nathan Tella has signed a contract extension with Bayer 04 Leverkusen after joining the club in 2023, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 26-year-old penned a five-year deal with Die Werkself in the summer of 2023, alongside fellow Nigerian teammate Victor Boniface.

In their debut season, Tella and Boniface played crucial roles as Leverkusen went 34 games unbeaten in the German top-flight, winning their maiden Deutscher Meister.

While injuries have dealt badly with the pair in recent seasons, Tella has been rewarded with a new contract until the summer of 2031.
