Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare is close to sealing a transfer to Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, Soccernet.ng reports.

Over the last few days, Wolves have been desperately searching for a new attacker. They have lost their first two games of the season, and they need reinforcements to bolster their attack.

News broke earlier in the week that they were interested in Christantus Uche, but the deal did not work out.

Nonetheless, they quickly moved on from that disappointment and set their sights on signing Tolu Arokodare from Genk.

The Super Eagles star contributed 23 goals and seven assists in 45 appearances across all competitions for Genk last season.

Consequently, he has been linked with clubs like Napoli, AC Milan, Manchester United, Benfica, and Bayern Munich. But nothing concrete happened.

However, Wolves have not wasted any time in securing the services of the big 24-year-old marksman, as they quickly opened talks with Genk.

Now, in a fresh update by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Wolves have reached an agreement with Genk for Arokodare’s transfer.

The deal has already been concluded and is subject to a medical which is scheduled for Saturday. If all goes according to plan, Arokodare will be a confirmed Wolves player by tomorrow.

The Super Eagles star is expected to sign a four-year deal at least due to the high fee that Wolves are paying.

Arokodare is one of the players in Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa. He will be looking to get his transfer sorted as soon as possible so he can focus on national team duty.
