The police in Plateau state have arrested 5 of its personnel connected to its C Division for allegedly taking pictures a 17-year-old boy, Ibuchim Ofezie, in Jos.
The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Alfred Alabo, disclosed this in an announcement launched on Monday, April 4.
It was gathered that in a bid to implement the ban on the operation of economic bikes within the state, the personnel visited the terminus market and began chasing these illegally working. Within the course of, they began taking pictures and a stray bullet hit Ofezie, who was sitting in his store on the market.
Alabo stated the state Commissioner of Police, CP Bartholomew Onyeka, who condemned the incident, stated that the affected personnel can be sanctioned after a correct investigation has been carried out.
