Singer, actor Kris Kristofferson useless at 88

Sept. 29 (UPI) — Nation music icon and actor Kris Kristofferson has died Saturday at his residence in Maui, Hawaii. He was 88.

“Kris Kristofferson believed creativity is God-given, and those that ignore such a present are doomed to unhappiness. He preached that a lifetime of the thoughts offers voice to the soul, and his work gave voice not solely to his soul however to ours. He leaves a powerful legacy.”

“It’s with a heavy coronary heart that we share the information our husband/father/grandfather, Kris Kristofferson, handed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 28 at residence,” a press release from Kristofferson’s spouse, Lisa; his eight kids Tracy, Kris Jr., Casey, Jesse, Jody, John, Kelly and Blake; and his seven grandchildren stated Sunday.

“We’re all so blessed for our time with him. Thanks for loving him all these a few years, and once you see a rainbow, know he is smiling down at us all.”

No trigger was given for Kristofferson’s demise.

He was finest recognized for his hit songs “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down,” “Assist Me Make It By the Night time,” “For the Good Instances” and “Me and Bobby McGee.”

The Nation Music Corridor of Fame and Museum paid tribute to the beloved Grammy winner and Songwriters Corridor of Fame inductee.

Kristofferson appeared in quite a few films within the Seventies and ’80s, together with Blume in Love, Alice Would not Reside Right here Anymore, A Star is Born, Pat Garrett and Billy the Child, Convoy, Heaven’s Gate, Lone Star and Blade.
