Dec. 7 (UPI) — The San Francisco Giants agreed to three-year, $43.3 million contract with free agent outfielder Mitch Haniger, the crew introduced.
The Giants announced the deal Tuesday night time. The pact contains an opt-out after the 2024 season. Haniger is about to make $5 million in 2023, $17 million in 2024 and $15.5 million in 2025.
Haniger, 31, hit .246 with 11 dwelling runs and 34 RBIs in 57 video games final season for the Seattle Mariners. He hit .253 with a career-high 39 dwelling runs and 100 RBIs in 157 video games in 2021 for the Mariners.
Haniger entered the league because the No. 38 general decide by the Milwaukee Brewers within the 2012 MLB Draft. The Brewers traded Haniger to the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2014. The Diamondbacks traded the outfielder to the Mariners in 2016.
Haniger hit a career-high .285 with 26 dwelling runs and 93 RBIs in 157 video games in 2018 for the Mariners, en path to his lone All-Star choice.
