Saudi Arabia’s King, Mohammed Bin Salman..

‎The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has signed a cooperation agreement with a civil society organization to implement a project for drilling 78 medium-depth, solar-powered wells across 10 states in Nigeria.

‎The agreement was finalized via video conference on Tuesday and announced on Wednesday by Mohammed Al-Sahabi, Press Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Abuja.

‎The project, which aims to benefit approximately 733,350 people, is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian efforts through KSrelief. It will provide safe drinking water for both humans and livestock, support domestic water needs, and improve access to water in low-income communities.

‎KSrelief’s Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, signed the agreement at the organization’s headquarters in Riyadh.

‎The initiative is also intended to reduce the spread of waterborne infections and parasitic diseases, contributing to lower mortality rates, particularly among infants. Moreover, it is expected to enhance nutrition by ensuring a steady supply of clean water.

‎This intervention forms part of a broader portfolio of water and sanitation projects executed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief. These efforts aim to improve living conditions and curb the spread of diseases and epidemics in vulnerable regions worldwide.
