Reps cross invoice to resolve election petitions earlier than swearing-in president-elect, for second studying

The Invoice, sponsored by Mansur Soro, lawmaker representing Darazo/Ganjuwa federal constituency in Bauchi, alongside 5 different lawmakers, was handed for second studying throughout planeray onTuesday.

If enacted, the invoice would introduce a brand new subsection mandating that “all appeals arising from presidential, governorship, nationwide, and state meeting election petition tribunals shall be decided by the appellate courts previous to the swearing-in of candidates declared as winners by the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC).”
