The Inspector-Common of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, recommended the integrity of SP Rilwan Kasumu and his group from the police tactical unit hooked up to Space Ok, Marogbo, Lagos State Command, for refusing a ₦4 million bribe throughout the investigation of a drug peddling and ammunition possession case.
This was revealed by the Police Pressure PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
He defined that on February 6, 2024, the group apprehended Esther Newman Obiekezie, 42, also referred to as Sweet, at her residence on No 6, Mojirade Avenue, Ilogbo Lagos.
The arrest yielded a major amount of a substance often known as ICE, together with AK47 stay ammunition.
Adejobi added that throughout the subsequent inquiry, Akete Esther, 43, and Oke Okebalam, 49, visited the Ijanikin police station, making an attempt to safe the discharge of Esther Newman Obiekezie.
He defined that they provided ₦4 million bribe and pleaded for an finish to police interference in Esther’s unlawful drug peddling enterprise.
