Afrigather The Police Command within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), stated 5 suspects in possession of 5 weapons and safety businesses’ uniforms have been intercepted in the course of the conference of the Nationwide Affiliation of Nigerian College students (NANS) in Abuja.
In keeping with the FCT Police Public Relations Workplace, SP Josephine Adeh in an announcement on Wednesday, the suspects have been handed over to the command by the Division of State Providers.
Adeh stated gadgets recovered from the suspects have been a pump motion gun, one regionally made double barrell shotgun, two regionally made pistols and one baretta pistol.
She added that 15 reside ammunition, cartridges, an axe, 12 cutlasses, cell phones, bag containing uniforms of safety businesses and a Mazda automobile Registered RBC 909 DP, have been allegedly recovered from the suspects.
Adeh stated investigation into the matter has being intensified whereas efforts have been on to arrest different suspects at the moment at giant.
She stated the suspects could be charged to court docket upon completion of investigation.
Adeh stated the Commissioner of Police within the FCT, Mr Haruna Garba, had warned residents towards disturbance of public peace and illegal meeting.
