The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Benjamin Ezeukwe for allegedly masterminding and fleecing tons of of harmless Nigerians in an elaborate Dangote Cement-price-slash rip-off.
A press release signed by Police Public Relations Officer,
Lagos Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, on Sunday, stated the 28-year-old suspect was arrested on October 19, 2023 in Rumuolumeni space of Obio/Akpor native authorities space of Rivers State.
The arrest adopted weeks of intensive investigation by officers of Space A Command of the State Command.
“Present in his possession have been one Tecno cellphone, one IPhone, three SIM playing cards which he used for the rip-off and a Toyota Avalon, which investigation revealed to be a proceed of his crime.
” The suspect had in September, 2023 created a bogus however convincing on-line advert purportedly by Dangote Cement, claiming a large worth slash. Quite a few unsuspecting clients fell prey to the rip-off, shedding hundreds of thousands of Naira to the suspect.
