The Ogun State Police Command stated it has found the shallow graves of 71-year-old farmer, Adekunle Ifelaja, and Ogunyemi Femi, who had been allegedly killed by suspected kidnappers within the Ijebu-Igbo space of Ogun State.
This follows the arrest of two members of a seven-person prison gang, Chukwuma Bartholomew and Igwe Monday, who’re believed to be liable for the abductions and murders of the victims.
The spokesperson for the command, Omolola Odutola, knowledgeable our correspondent on Saturday that the arrest occurred simply 5 days after the anti-kidnapping squad killed two suspected kidnappers in a gunfight and rescued a number of victims, together with Indian nationals.

“After their confession, the suspects took the CP and members of the anti-kidnapping models to the forest the place they buried the victims to exhume the corpses.”
PUNCH On-line reported that on November 23, 2023, the suspects, a part of a prison syndicate, stormed the house of 34-year-old Femi on November 23, 2023, kidnapped him and took him to an unknown location.
The gang allegedly made a video of Femi and despatched it to his household to demand ransom.
Based on the police, the suspects killed the sufferer regardless of receiving the ransom from his household.
Equally, after abducting the aged 71-year-old farmer at Oke-Sopen in Ijebu-Igbo on December 31, 2023, the suspects reportedly recorded a video of the septuagenarian man and despatched it to his household by way of WhatsApp, demanding a ransom for his launch.
Based on the police, the farmer was killed and buried in one of many shallow graves regardless of the cost.
