The Adamawa State Police command connected to Dougirei Divisional Police Headquarters has arrested two younger males for the alleged theft of armoured cables that supplied electrical energy to a water therapy plant in Yola.
Yohanna Sulei, 25, and Emmanuel Joseph, 17, have been arrested for vandalising and stealing armoured wires that equipped energy to the water therapy plant in Boronji, a residential enclave close to the Authorities Home.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, acknowledged that the people have been apprehended by police operatives from Dougirei Divisional Police Headquarters in Jimeta.
Suleiman confirmed in an announcement made on Monday, October 9, that the cops received a misery name from the plant supervisor whereas on regular patrol on the Boronji Water Therapy Plant.
“The suspects conspired to vandalize the armoured cables that equipped electrical energy to the therapy plant, ensuing within the shutdown of the water provide,” he mentioned.
“Investigations up to now have revealed that the suspects are working alongside unidentified receivers who’re benefitting from the companies of the water therapy plant”, He additional added.
In the meantime, the Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, issued a warning to these concerned in receiving stolen objects, cautioning them to stop such actions or face the results.
Nguroje emphasised that the receivers of the stolen wires on this case could be tracked down, apprehended, and prosecuted.
