Way of life Nigeria gathered that Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Speaker, Home of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas and Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, have been amongst dignitaries who attended the funeral prayer and burial of the previous Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’abba in Kano on Wednesday night.

Recall that the deceased handed away round 3am on Wednesday morning at a hospital within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

His corpse was flown again to Kano for burial round 2pm and was taken to his residence for prayers after which to the palace of the Emir of Kano.

The funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Kano, Prof Sani Zahraddeen, on the palace at precisely 5:38pm.

The late Na’Abba left behind one spouse and 10 youngsters and was buried on the Dandolo cemetery at Goron Dutse.

Amongst hundreds that attended the funeral prayer have been notable personalities like Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, Senator Kawu Sumaila and lots of different distinguished personalities.

Late Ghali Umar Na’abba was elected to characterize Kano Municipal Federal Constituency of Kano State within the Home of Representatives in 1999.
