The Anti-Human Trafficking and Little one Safety Unit of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command, has arrested seven for defilement of minors, dangerous conventional practices, and human trafficking in numerous places within the state.
The State Commandant, Augustine Padonu, gave the names of the suspects as Osuolale Ayodele (53), John Umeh (64), Eyeke Chimechie (45), Mutiu Alabi (45), Adedoja Lukman (72), Tomiwa Olusegun (35), and Eritobiloba Rashidi (49).
In response to the NSCDC boss, John Umeh, a local of Abia State and resident of the Monatan space, Ibadan, was arrested for sexually assaulting his stepdaughter since she was seven years outdated till she turned 16.
He stated that Ayodele, who hails from Osun State however is a resident of Olunloyo space, Ibadan, was arrested for defiling a 13-year-old lady.
Padonu said that one other suspect, Chimechie, a local of Ebonyi State residing within the Bestway space of Ibadan, was arrested for impregnating a 17-year-old lady and subjecting her to home violence.
He stated that Alabi and Lukman had been picked for partaking in dangerous conventional practices, together with genital mutilation, whereas Olusegun and Rashidi had been apprehended on Thursday, February 22, at Ojoo Motor Park whereas making an attempt to site visitors 4 ladies to Libya.
The commandant stated that the suspects had been present process an investigation and can be charged in courtroom at its conclusion.
He assured that the NSCDC Oyo State Command would proceed to work tirelessly to fight human trafficking and all types of violence towards ladies and kids.
