It was a busy football weekend across England and Europe.

Some of the favourites got the job done comfortably, others had to fight a bit harder, and a few matches were decided right at the end.

Here’s a look at how the main games played out.

*Arsenal edge stubborn Mansfield*

rsenal had to dig in before seeing off Mansfield Town 2-1 in their FA Cup tie.

The Premier League side expected a tricky game and that’s exactly what they got.

Mansfield held their own and managed to pull level early in the second half to make it 1-1, putting a bit of pressure on the visitors.

Arsenal eventually found the goal that settled it in the 66th minute when Eberechi Eze struck from distance. It wasn’t a smooth afternoon, but the Gunners did enough to move on.

*Man City recover against Newcastle*
Manchester City came from behind to beat Newcastle United 3-1 at St James’ Park.

Newcastle started brightly and took the lead in the 18th minute when Harvey Barnes finished off a quick move.

City settled into the game after that and were level before the break.

Savinho scored in the 39th minute to make it 1-1.

The visitors took over in the second half.

Omar Marmoush put City ahead in the 47th minute and then added another in the 65th to wrap things up.

*Chelsea survive Wrexham scare*

Chelsea were pushed all the way before beating Wrexham 4-2 after extra time in a wild cup tie.
Wrexham struck first through Sam Smith in the 18th minute.

Chelsea were handed a way back when goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo turned the ball into his own net in the 40th minute.

The home side went ahead again in the 78th minute thanks to Callum Doyle, and for a moment it looked like an upset might be on the cards.

Chelsea responded quickly though.

Josh Acheampong equalised in the 82nd minute to force extra time.

From there the Premier League side finally pulled clear. Alejandro Garnacho scored in the 96th minute before Joao Pedro added another deep in stoppage time at 120+5 minutes.

*Osimhen delivers again in Europe*

Victor Osimhen once again came up big for Galatasaray in their Champions League clash with Juventus in Turin.
The game stretched into extra time after a long battle between both sides.

With the tie still hanging in the balance, Osimhen found the moment.

The Nigerian striker scored in the 105th minute, finishing calmly inside the box to put Galatasaray back in front and send them through.

Madrid leave it late

Real Madrid also needed a late moment to beat Celta Vigo 2-1.

Aurelien Tchouameni opened the scoring in the 11th minute, but Celta Vigo responded through Borja Iglesias in the 25th minute.

The match looked set to end level until stoppage time when Federico Valverde stepped up in the 94th minute with the winning goal.

From cup ties in England to a big European night for Osimhen, it turned out to be another weekend where a few key moments, and a few late goals ended up deciding everything.
