Sept. 19 (UPI) — A day after a man died from multiple blunt force injuries after riding a Florida roller coaster, the inquiry continues into why he suffered injuries on the ride.

On Thursday, Orlando Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany ruled the death of Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, 32, of Kissimmee, Fla., an accident. No other details were released.

Stephany said that Rodriguez Zavala “was found unresponsive on the Stardust Racers roller coaster at Universal Epic Universe and transported to the hospital. The cause of death is multiple blunt impact injuries. The manner of death is accident,” Deadline reported.

Rodriguez Zavala used a wheelchair. A GoFundMe page set up by his family said, “It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved brother, son, uncle, and friend, Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, who tragically lost his life in an unexpected accident.”

His family said he was the kind of person who always made time to listen, offer thoughtful advice and lift others up, even when facing his own challenges.

“Universal has been extremely cooperative and has complied with all required notifications. This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be released as it is available,” Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Communications Director Aaron Keller said in a statement to USA Today Florida.
