Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has suspended 4 Members of Parliament from attending sittings for 2 weeks attributable to their involvement within the chaos that erupted in the course of the Appointments Committee’s vetting session on January 30, 2025.

Their suspension was introduced on Friday, January 31, following a heated confrontation between the Majority and Minority caucuses in the course of the vetting of Well being Minister-designate Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Overseas Affairs Minister-designate Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
