Ondo State Chapter of the Labour Social gathering, LP has reacted to the purported defection of a few of its members and supporters to the All Progressives Congress, APC at a ceremony held in Adegbemile Corridor in Akure, the state capital.
An announcement by the Ondo State Chairman of the Labour Social gathering, Mrs Remilekun Ojo, stated the occasion was attended by “a couple of dozen individuals” who claimed to be the South-West chapter of the social gathering.

The stated former LP members on Monday introduced they have been “collapsing” the Labour Social gathering within the area into the APC, saying the social gathering couldn’t win elections.
Ojo said:
As anticipated, the assembly was chaired by an expelled member [of the LP], Banji Omotoso, who was the then Caretaker State Chairman in Ekiti State from 2017 to 2019.
The assertion pressured that the LP within the South-West and within the six geopolitical areas “stays one and indivisible.”
She added:
Not at all will the social gathering consider merging with any social gathering, “not even the APC that has introduced untold hardship and struggling to the nation.
The assertion stated Omotoso, the so-called “Southwest coordinator,” was sacked for “gross malfeasance and anti-party actions” in January 2020 and ceased to have something to do with the social gathering and due to this fact had no authority to talk for or on behalf of the LP.
