Oil Employees Protest Over Unpaid Salaries

Employees of Mormar Marine staged a peaceable protest in Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli North Native Authorities Space in Delta State, demanding the rapid cost of six months’ wage arrears allegedly owed them by the Nigerian Petroleum Improvement Firm Restricted/Heritage Power.

The agency, which is a contracting agency to the NPDC, Heritage and Shoreline, secures oil services from the actions of vandals in OML 30. They protested on Thursday.

One of many coordinators of the protesting staff, Tennyson Oriunu, whereas addressing journalists, lamented the agony staff had been passing by means of following the non-payment of their salaries by the oil corporations.


He stated, “We’re the individuals securing the oil services from being vandalised and from infractions, however for the reason that final six months we’ve not been paid our salaries. Even at Christmas, nothing got here.
