Infamous Nationwide Service official, the Deputy Director of the scheme, Gifty Oware, has reportedly been arrested by the Nationwide Investigations Bureau (NIB).

Oware, who was in a foreign country and returned this week, was reportedly picked up on Friday, March 7, 2025.

She has been accused of being concerned within the Nationwide Service Scheme’s (NSS) ghost names scandal, by which over 80,000 ghost names had been current on the register receiving over Ghc 50m in funds each month.

Following the election, Oware travelled outdoors the nation amidst the frenzy for Operation Get better All Loot (ORAL). A number of social media customers referred to as for her arrest and he or she promised to avail herself to authorities upon her return to the nation.
