Noel Gallagher was one of several famous faces in attendance at UFC London on Saturday night.
It’s not uncommon to see huge stars sitting in the front row for big boxing events in England, Jason Statham even helped make a heavyweight title fight.
However, one half of the iconic duo at the core of Oasis has made it very clear which combat sport is his preference.
Some fans may have left UFC London early, but the fights not delivering didn’t seem to ruin Gallagher’s night when he reflected on the experience and how he became a fan of the sport in the first place.

Noel Gallagher started following Conor McGregor’s career after watching him before he signed to the UFC
During a recent appearance on talkSPORT, Noel Gallagher spoke about the great experience that he had with his sons at UFC London this past weekend.
The legendary musician was told during the interview that he didn’t strike the hosts as a UFC fan, which prompted him to explain what got him invested in the sport.
“I’ve grown into it,” he replied. “When [Conor] McGregor came along, I happened to be in Ireland one night and we got a pub in Galway or wherever it was and I don’t think he was part of the UFC then, he was in another organization. The pub was packed waiting for this guy to appear and he was like this, you know, the trash talk and all that. When he went to the UFC, we kind of followed his fights.”
The promotion Gallagher is likely referring to is Cage Warriors, where the Irishman held belts in two divisions simultaneously to earn himself a spot on the UFC roster.

Name the fighter who made you fall in love with MMA

Many fans likely share a similar story in regards to ‘The Notorious’ and the fact that you didn’t even need to see him fight before becoming invested in his career.
Gallagher went on to add that his sons becoming big fans who follow all the announcements and know the ins and outs of the fighters has also been a factor.
“I love it now,” he continued. “Once you see the UFC, you just go off boxing. Boxing’s for f——.”
